A Close To My Heart 'Topstitch' Card

I thought I had already posted this card but I guess not! Anyway, here is a card I made with papers from the new 'Topstitch' paper pack from Close To My Heart. I LOVE this paper pack! It is so versatile and I didn't think it would be at first. I made this card for my mom-in-law who lives out of town so I made sure not to have any bulkiness to it as I like my cards to arrive at their destination without any damage. The flower stamp I used is from 'Enjoy Every Moment' and the sentiment is from 'Thank You'. The featured colors of this card are Heavenly Blue, Baby Pink and Chocolate. I used colored pencils on the flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Close To My Heart Scrapbook Challenge #43-The Great Outdoors

There's nothing like the Great Outdoors! Well, at least in the Spring, Summer and Fall anyway. We were so excited to try it out that we didn't even wait till dark! It doesn't take much to make us happy! Haha!

This layout is the latest one I created for the weekly scrapbook challenge I participate in. The design used for this layout is from the Cherish how-to-book from Close To My Heart called Echoes. Below is a list of all the supplies used, which are all from Close To My Heart.

Close To My Heart Convention 2010 Journal

I am so excited to be able to attend my first Close To My Heart convention that I decorated this new journal so I can record the entire experience from exciting beginning to the exciting end. I used the new Veranda paper pack on the front cover of the journal, which is the newest alterable product from Close To My Heart. Contact me if you'd like one of your own. They are great for any event or function you would like to write about and always remember.

This year's convention is being held in Washington, DC, a place I have never been to, (can you believe that?) so I am really looking forward to this. I hear CTMH conventions are truly an inspiration and that I will return with a whole new outlook on the company and the part I play in it. I know that I will learn a lot and want to record as much as possible to take my business to a whole new level when I return. So watch out!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

A Close To My Heart 'Topstitch' Layout

Isn't this layout just too pretty? I love this layout! I rarely do single page layouts but I really liked one of the designs that Becky Fleck creates for PageMaps and wanted to use it. Of course, I tweaked it a bit to make it more my own but the basic design is PageMaps. All those little flowers were a lot of fun to stamp and cut out. Not! I did them while sitting in front of the TV the other night. I can't watch the TV without doing something! It's such a waste of time!

Did you know you can create your own faux chipboard? Look at the hearts on this layout. They look like they could be chipboard but they aren't. I cut several of each with my Cricut machine, ran them through my Xyron sticker maker then laid them one on top of the other to create thickness. I tied a bow around the blue heart before adhering it to the page. I stamped a design on the small pink heart, added a chocolate brad then popped it to give it dimension. What a cool look, huh?

All the products used on this layout are from the new Topstitch Workshop on the Go kit from Close To My Heart. Ask me how you can get this great kit for yourself!

I hope you enjoyed today's layout. Thanks for stopping by! Have a good one!
