Cool Tags

I made these tags with cardstock and the pages from an old book. Pretty cool, huh? I got the idea from someone who posted something similar on that great time-sucker, Pinterest.

The tags were cut with 3 different Sizzix dies that I've had it seems like forever. I then used the dies to cut tags from the book pages as well. I sponged ink around the edges of the tags after adhering the 2 pieces of the tags together.

I found several stamp images in my stash that I thought would look nice on the tags and chose a few of my favorite ink colors to stamp them with. And voila.....cool tags to use in my smash books or on cards or scrapbook pages. Pretty cool!

In Sympathy

A card I made while in a sympathetic mood today after hearing of Whitney Houston's passing. Very sad to hear. May she rest in peace and finally find happiness.

I created this card with the Wings Creative Basics papers that are still available as a While Supplies Last item on my website. The stamp set used is A1121 A Blossom. This is the card we will make for my next A(wesome)-size stamp class in March. Remember, you get to keep the stamp set when you attend one of these classes. Stay tuned for more details.

Inspired by Gina K on Stamp TV

CardWordPuzzleCard2Here are 2 cards I made yesterday after watching an episode of Stamp TV online. Gina K always has some great techniques to share.

The first one I made using an inkpad from Tim Holtz because I just happened to have the one featured in the Stamp TV video, which was quite funny since  I only own 4 of them. Ha, what can I say…I’m a loyal Close To My Heart gal all the way! Smile

I stamped the flower images (from C1494 Card Word Puzzle), the swirl image (from C1466 Instant Memories) in Black ink after first masking off the section to ink in the Tim Holtz Peeled Paint distressed ink. I then colored in the flowers with Cranberry and Honey markers from Close To My Heart. Stamped the words (from the Pemberley workshop kit stamp set) in black ink then added a cranberry ribbon to finish it off.

On the second card, I used Garden Green ink in the masked off section then stamped the images in Black ink again. This time I colored in the images with Vineyard Berry and Crème Brulee markers. Stamped the words in Black again then added a strip of Vineyard Berry ribbon with a small knot and it was complete!CardWordPuzzleCard1

A Quick and Easy Card

A quick and easy card I created today after being inspired by this post that I saw on Pinterest. As soon as I saw that bike, I knew exactly what Close To My Heart image would work perfectly for this. It was the one from the double D-size stamp set called Pair-a-Phrase that was a special back in May 2011, I think. CardinspiredbyHeroArts

Speaking of Pinterest….it is a real time-sucker so I limit myself to only about 15-20 minutes a day perusing all the awesomeness on there. There is so much inspiration there that if you run into a creative block, you have only to go there and you WILL  be inspired to create something on your own. Trust me!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Happy scrampin’!
