Days 21-24 of '28 Days of Sketches'

I am so far behind in posting the rest of the layouts I created for the '28 Days of Sketches' class I took from Big Picture Classes online. I dislike being behind and will try my best to post the rest of the layouts within the next day or two.

This first one of my third granddaughter was created with Roxie papers from Close to My Heart.

This layout of my youngest granddaughter was created with some leftover pieces of Wonderland (no longer available) by CTMH, of course!

This layout was created with the Stella papers and canvas shapes (love them) from Close to My Heart. No photos yet!

Another layout of my youngest granddaughter was created with the Bliss paper pack (no longer available) from CTMH. I added some color with Taffy and love how it turned out! Put some bling on it, too!

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy scrampin'!

Days 17-20 of 28 Days of Sketches

OKAY, SO I AM way behind in posting these as well as being a day behind on the actual layouts. Today is day 22 and I have yet to complete day 21 so this will be a quick post.

THE FIRST LAYOUT for day 17 uses the new Footloose papers as well as several embellishments - Smoothie Mini MedleysParadise Just Blooms, Wooden Badge Buttons, which I stamped an image on, Colonial White Buttons and various colored brads - from Close to My Heart.
I DUG OUT an old paper pack - Veranda - for this layout I created for day 18. I used the Trees & Things stamp set as well as the Potential stamp set that was the stamp of the month for March and which is no longer available for purchase. I cut the title and the scalloped circles with the Art Philosophy CTMH Cricut cartridge. I LOVE that cartridge!
FOR DAY 19 I chose to use the Dotty for You papers. I haven't used enough of them yet and they seemed just perfect for these photos I had. The stamp set I used for the title is no longer available from CTMH but the name of it is True Happiness, in case you may still have it in your stash.

I CHOSE TO lightly embellish this layout with 3 butterflies I cut from a piece of the pattern paper used on the top of the layout plus added 3 green buttons to finish it off!
THE FINAL LAYOUT uses the Lucy papers which have become a favorite of mine in the current CTMH catalog. I have 4 granddaughters and a step-granddaughter so this paper pack has been used quite a bit for them as well as for the flowers in my garden.

THE FLOWERS, flourishes, journaling box, title and butterflies were all cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge. Have I said how much I LOVE this cartridge? Ha ha! Are you seeing a pattern here?

OKAY that's it for today! Now I must get working on the layouts for days 21 & 22.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy scrampin'!

Days 15 & 16 of '28 Days of Sketches'

HERE ARE THE NEXT 2 layouts for the online class I am taking. I brought out some of my Dreamin' papers for this layout. Dreamin' is no longer available but is still one of my favorite paper packs - so how appropriate to scrap about my favorite tree with some of my favorite papers! The 'A Tree' stamp set was also perfect for this layout.

WE PLANTED THIS BIRCH TREE when it was just a teeny tiny twig way back in 1993 when we first moved into our new home. We have marveled at it's beauty year after year. It has given us much enjoyment through the years and we truly hope that it outlasts us because we would surely miss it if it wasn't here.

I REACHED WAY INTO my stash to find the papers I used for this layout - Mayberry. I still have so much of this and I am so happy to be using it up!

I TOOK THIS PHOTO of my daffodils this morning - I actually took a TON of them - but chose only this one to feature on my layout because I just couldn't force myself to cut up the other photos into 2 x 2 squares. I chose to create scalloped 2 x 2 squares using the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge from Close to My Heart instead. The title was cut with the Jasmine Alphabet Cricut cartridge. All papers and embellishments are from Close to My Heart.

I HOPE you've enjoyed my layouts today! Happy scrampin'!

You Don't Need That Thing!

HERE'S THE LAYOUT I created for Day 14 of the '28 Days of Sketches' online class I am taking.

This photo is of my youngest granddaughter, Aveney, who recently turned one year old. She still likes that gosh darn pacifier so someone is always saying to her - you don't need that thing - because we want to see her precious smile and hear those wonderful giggles of hers.

I used the Pemberley paper pack from Close to My Heart for this layout. I think it is my favorite paper pack in the current catalog. I just love the gorgeous flowers on one of the papers.

The stamp set I used is the Card Word Puzzle set that works perfectly with Pemberley. Featured colors on my layout are Outdoor Denim, Bamboo, Buttercup and Desert Sand.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy scrampin'!

Days 11, 12 & 13 of '28 Days of Sketches'

A RARE 2 PAGE LAYOUT sketch was thrown in for Day 11. But that's okay by me - I love 2 pagers! This is actually my second take on this layout. My first had red cardstock in place of the Roxie pattern paper but it seemed to take over the photos too much. I am happier with this layout!

PHOTOS ARE OF some of the birdies who visited us this past winter. Very enjoyable to watch!

THIS LAYOUT WAS created with the Animal Cookies Creative Basics papers from awhile back and which are no longer available.

I LOVE THE BRIGHTNESS of this layout. I dug out some old stamp sets - Just the Ticket & Sensational Seals - to complete this fun layout of my granddaughter.

THESE ARE SOME of the last photos I took of my granddaughter-Scarlet-before they moved to Illinois. Boohoo! She is such a cutie pie and it will be quite awhile before I am able to see or hug her again.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE paper packs from Close to My Heart has been Splendor, which is what I used here. Unfortunately, it is no longer available.

THIS ONLINE CLASS I am taking is getting me to use up my stash of papers as well as stickers and I am not a huge fan of stickers at all. I do love them on this layout and I'm glad I used them.

THE PHOTOS ON THIS LAYOUT are of our Bradford Pear tree that stands in our front yard. The blossoms are so gorgeous - year after year they totally blow me away with their beauty!

THANKS for stopping by today! I hope you have enjoyed my layouts. Happy scrampin'!

28 Days of Sketches Slideshow

AS YOU'VE SEEN with my past couple posts, I am participating in an online class at Big Picture Classes called '28 Days of Sketches'. I have really stepped outside my comfort zone as most of the sketches have been one page. I am so used to creating two page layouts so this has been a challenge for me. BUT I am so glad I decided to take this class. I am having so much fun with it!

I NEVER THOUGHT I'd be able to create one page layouts as quickly as I have been. I am loving the results! Some of the layouts have photos and/or journaling - some do not! Those are still a work in progress!

I PUT TOGETHER a slideshow of the first 10 layouts I've created for this class and would LOVE your opinion on them, if you wouldn't mind. Please check it out and leave me a comment. If you DO leave a comment, I will enter your name into a drawing for a FREE B-size stamp set or paper pack (retail value $9.95) from Close to My Heart! So get over there NOW and check it out! Be sure to leave your email address in your comment so I can contact you if your name is chosen.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy scrampin'!

Days 4, 5 & 6 of 28 Days of Sketches

HERE'S THE NEXT 3 DAYS of layouts I've created for the 28 Days of Sketches online class that I'm taking.

THE FIRST ONE was made with the Florentine papers from Close to My Heart. I love how this turned out! Two-page layouts are my specialty! I struggle with those one-pagers!

SPEAKING OF ONE-PAGERS, this second one-page layout was created with the Footloose papers from Close to My Heart. I also used the Perfect Day stamp set that is quickly starting to become a favorite of mine. I love lighthouses and everything beach-y!
THIS LAST LAYOUT was created with one of the pattern papers from the Dotty for You special from Close to My Heart, which will be available beginning April 17.

I AM NOT TOTALLY HAPPY with this layout but I was trying to get caught up since this is the 6th day of this class and I was behind. I feel better now knowing I am caught up but not as happy with the results. Oh well! I guess I can't have everything, right?

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy scrampin'!

April A(wesome)-size Stamp Class

Join me on April 12th or 13th for my next A(wesome)-size Stamp Class. Cost is $12 and includes the supplies to make these 2 cards AND you get to keep the stamp set! RSVP by April 1st.

First 3 Days of '28 Days of Sketches'

HERE'S MY FIRST LAYOUT I created for the 28 Days of Sketches online class I am taking from Big Picture Classes.

I KNOW WINTER IS OVER now but I'm still trying to play catch-up on my scrapbooking and figured this class would help to accomplish that.

I RARELY EVER CREATE one-page layouts but this class has gotten me to step outside of my comfort zone and see what I can create with just one page. I am liking the results so far!

HERE ARE THE NEXT 2 layouts I created for the class. I just can't seem to get enough of this cute curly haired little girly. Are you getting tired of seeing her yet? I hope not as she is often the subject of many of my layouts.

THIS LAYOUT WAS MADE with the new X7147B Stella papers from Close to My Heart and the B1398 Just for You stamp set. I cut the title letters with the Z1686 Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge also from Close to My Heart.

I USED ONE OF THE Dotty for You papers, which YOU will be able to purchase beginning April 17, on this layout as well as the D1482 Love Life stamp set and S1202 Thoughtful Tidings which was the February Stamp of the Month.

Now off to create my layout for Day 4.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy scrampin'!
