31 Things Days 4, 5, 6 & 7

Back with another post from the 31 Things workshop I'm participating in. Since two days sit side by side on every page I create, I plan to share both days in one post every other day, unless of course, I totally forget to post at all, which is exactly what happened the past couple days. Oops! What can I say? I just can't remember everything!

The prompt for day four is Spirit & day five is Conversation

The prompt for day 6 is You and day 7 is Work.

I hope you are enjoying my pages as much as I'm enjoying making them. If you have any questions about products used, please don't hesitate to ask!

Have a great day and happy scrampin'!

31 Things Day Three - Reading

Today's prompt is reading - something I can totally relate to. I love to read and I read every single day! A life without books would be so dull & boring. Where else can you imagine yourself and feel like you are a part of something new & exciting?

Sorry to show you day two again but since days two and three are on the same page, it's easiest to get a nice photo of the complete page rather than just one side of it. Besides, you also get to see how nicely the two sides complement each other.

I am really loving the simple but oh so nice design of these pages. Thanks Ali Edwards, you rock! I would never have thought to use this style of storytelling on my own so I really appreciate those who share their creative ideas with the rest of us. I often follow others' basic ideas but like to put my own spin on them.

Remember, it isn't too late to join 31 Things. Just click here to go to the website to register.

Happy scrampin'!

31 Things Class

Hello! Hello! Just wanted you to know......

.....I am taking another class from Big Picture Classes - yes, another class - called 31 Things hosted by Ali Edwards. It started yesterday and this is only day 2 so if you are interested in joining in, click here for more info and to register. I believe registration ends January 29th so hurry!

I am going to share the first 2 pages of this project today since I totally forgot to post something yesterday. ;-( Too many things going on and not enough time to remember all I should.

Here's the first page along with the cover page that I had already prepared a few days ago in anticipation of the class. I like to be ahead of the game at the onset because I almost always end up falling behind eventually.

The left side (or cover page) was created with the new Skylark papers from Close To My Heart, which will be available February 1st for you non-consultants. I also used some of the little wooden trinket shapes (love those), some older wooden garden shapes, a piece of chipboard that coordinates with the Skylark papers and a few epoxy dots. Washi tape and teal shimmer trim line the edges of the white cardstock on the right side and I really love the look of it! Yesterday's prompt was Jewelry so our assignment was to write about the jewelry in our lives.

Today's prompt is Morning so we were to write about our morning routine. Again I used some of those adorable wooden trinket shapes, the washi tape and the teal shimmer trim. I will be using them throughout this project in order to keep the pages cohesive.

I am so enjoying this project as it makes me really think about the things in my life and helps me to dig deeper to find the story behind these things. After all, there is a story behind everything, isn't there?

If you would be interested in learning more about the Close To My Heart products I am using, you can contact me or go here to check them out.

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy scrampin'!

Skylark Picture My Life sneak peek

Sharing week 3 of my Project Life-style scrapbooking project with you because I wanted to give you a sneak peek of the beautiful new Skylark Picture My Life kit, which will be available for purchase here beginning February 1st. I just received it a couple days ago and couldn't wait to begin playing with it. IT IS AWESOME and you are going to LOVE it!

If you feel you don't have the time, space or the creativity for scrapbooking, then this is the program for you. Even if you are a seasoned traditional or digital scrapbooker, this program will work right alongside and enhance the traditional and digital layouts in your album. You absolutely must give this a try. You won't be sorry!
Here is the same layout with a couple flip flaps open. I hadn't used any flip flaps in awhile so I dug them out today to add to my page. One is a 6"x 6" and the other is 6" x 12". I had a few extra photos from the week that I wanted to include on my page and the flip flaps enabled me to do that. Aren't they wonderful? If you haven't tried them yet, you are really missing out! Trust me!

Thanks for stopping by today. If you'd like to talk to me about any Close To My Heart products, give me a shout! Have a great day and happy scrampin'!

December 30 Days of Lists - Days 20 through 28

With a day to myself I would__________
Create All Day
which is pretty much what I do everyday anyway after getting my daily chores done in the morning. I'm very lucky to be able to create everyday!

Positive things from this week:
the snow melted
we had fun dog-sitting Mia
Christmas cards sent
Winter solstice
Christmas tree decorated

Things that can wait until tomorrow:
just about everything when you hear your dad is in the hospital and not doing well :(

Things I heard today:
bad news about my dad
music
singing birds
flocks of geese honking

Can't get enough of:
scrapbooking
good wine
'listing'
spending time with Keri
Skyping with the grandkids
Friday night fires with Ron

I am thankful for:
my family
all the great memories I have in my heart of my wonderful dad - he passed away today at the age of 82. Love & miss you, Dad!

Ways to unwind:
read
drink wine
take a walk
get crafty
listen to music
laugh

Memories made this year:
Red Lobster birthday lunch for Mom
Keri's first Broad St. Run in Philly
Many Purple Martins visited us but didn't stay
we have a new grand-dog
our first grandson was born
I started 'listing'
I lost my dad to cancer

I skipped #23 as I was at a loss for what to write for the prompt. I also haven't finished 29 & 30 but hope to get them done soon so stay tuned.
