Postcard Perfect

Postcard Perfect is Close To My Heart's special paper collection in celebration of National Scrapbooking Month in May. I seriously believe you are going to love it even if you don't travel to any exotic places as I don't. This collection of fabulous papers and components would work great for backyard activities, themed birthday parties, public gardens, your own backyard gardening, Disney trips, flower shows, Palm/Easter Sunday, trips to the beach, girls' getaways, backyard luaus or cookouts, visits to aquariums or water parks. The possibilities are endless, don't you think?

The three layouts shown below can be created with the Cut Above Postcard Perfect kit from Close To My Heart - the other two photos show what comes in the kit - which is different from the Postcard Perfect paper pack itself. The Cut Above kit comes with die-cut pieces as well as stickers which do not come in the main Postcard Perfect paper collection.

This is the fabulous special for National Scrapbooking Month and will be available beginning May 1 if not before. If you travel to exotic places or just spend time in your own backyard paradise, this kit is for you. I am not a traveler but I will be including photos of our backyard activities on these layouts.

I also plan to showcase photos of my trips to Longwood Gardens on them. Hint, hint! Pretty clever idea, huh? If you're interested in playing with this collection, let me know and I'll plan a workshop. If you prefer to create at home, mark your calendar for May 1 and head to my website to get yours, while supplies last, and have it shipped directly to you.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Happy scrampin'!

The Important Things

Close To My Heart has a special campaign running until the end of April - The Important Things - and it is pretty cool. If you've been wanting to put together a mini album of what is important to you at this point in your life then this is the perfect time to do so. If you're not sure if it's a project that's right for you, consider giving it as a gift either partially put together or just as a kit for the recipient to create themselves. Either way, it's a wonderful little album to showcase the important things in life either for you or a friend or family member. Here's the details:

Create a meaningful Everyday Life™ Album using this limited-time product bundle. Based on a journaling model inspired by Margaret Wise Brown’s The Important Book, this workshop empowers crafters to create a custom album highlighting the important things in their lives! The bundle contains the paper, cardstock, Flip Flaps™, and Memory Protectors™ needed to assemble the album. To see all of the supplies needed for this workshop, click here. The bundle is only available through April 30, while supplies last, so order yours today!
Here's the very first page I've created for the album. I changed it up a bit from the instructions included in the kit and that's the beauty of this project or any project for that matter. You can tweak it to fit YOU!
Let me know if you have any questions or you can just head on over to my website at scrampingwithcarol.closetomyheart.com to check it out or to order yours while supplies last!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy scrampin'!

Hello, it's me!

Hi everyone!

So sorry I have not been keeping up with my blog these past few months. I really have no excuses except that life got in the way, I've been busy with other projects, I've been lazy and frustrated and seemed to have lost my creative mojo as well as my zest for a lot of things in my life. So on that note, I have decided to make some changes in how I communicate with all my wonderfully loyal peeps who may have been wondering where I've been lately.

I have frequently been frustrated with Facebook, Twitter and the like recently so I have decided to eventually leave them all one by one. First to go is Facebook as of Sunday, March 25. I think Facebook has become too big for it's britches and I can't handle the fact that they control too much of people's lives, publicly as well as privately. They try to silence anyone who doesn't agree with their political agenda, which I feel interferes with the First Amendment and that is so very wrong on many levels.

If we are friends on Facebook and you want to remain friends, you can follow me on Instagram and Twitter (for the time being) @clabuski. If you follow my Close To My Heart Facebook page and wish to stay informed of anything Close To My Heart related, please come right here to my blog for that. You can also message me through this blog if you ever have any questions, comments or concerns.

I also plan, or at least hope, to begin sending out an email newsletter again so if you're interested in that, please message me and I'll add you to my list. If we normally just connect through Messenger, I think you'd have to know my phone number for that to work, not 100% sure on that but will check. And I am also on Skype if anyone would like to see my smiling, wrinkled old face in real life!

I want to thank you all for listening to me today. I hope I didn't bore you but do hope that you can understand why I feel this is the best thing for me at this time. If you wish to remain in contact with me in some way, shape or form, please let me know soon before I sign off on most, if not all, social media sites. I am hoping to locate another site that I can trust more than Facebook and Twitter for keeping in contact online so if I find such a place, I will surely let you know! Or if you know of such a place, please let ME know! ;)

Thanks all! Have a great day!
